Set group targets

The target number of workpoints each group should be allocated in a scenario

Pin targets

The Pin target feature (seen below as the pin beside each target in the People set) allows you to:

To pin a target, click on the grey pin next to the target number for each group. You do not need to be in edit mode to do this. The pin will turn green and the number will be highlighted in grey when the target is pinned.

There are two instances in which a target would change: when using Peak to Target and when using the allocation tools (paint and erase) which automatically update the target to match the number of workpoints modified on the plan. Pinning the target will prevent it from being changed unintentionally when you are painting and erasing the group, or when you use Peak to Target and have not de-selected the group.

In addition, the Pin target tool instructs AIDRA to prioritise the target for the group when she has to reduce the allocation for groups (for example, because you have manually consolidated a large area and there are not enough unused workpoints to clear the space).

Peak to Target

Peak to Target can be used to apply a group's peak (the highest number of workpoints used by a group over a given time period) to their target number of workpoints. In other words, using Peak to Target moves the peak value to the target column which dictates the number of workpoints that the group will be allocated when the scenario is evolved.

To use Peak to Target, you'll need usage data to be uploaded into gospace. The people set in the Groups tab shows the last 30 days of peak data as a default, and this can be changed using the calendar beside the peak.

Note: Any dates with a green dot on the calendar have usage data against them. The peak can be applied as the target of a single group, multiple groups or all groups at once depending which are selected.

To use Peak to Target:

  1. Select a group checkbox ✅ in the people set or all groups by selecting the ✅ in the menu

  2. The Peak to Target button will appear in the menu

3. Click Peak to Target

Result: Communications now has the same peak value as their target, and their ratio has increased (Headcount vs Target).

Forecast to Target

A similar feature to Peak to Target, Forecast to Target allows you to instantly apply a selected group(s) forecast to their target field. Once the target field is populated with the forecast, you can generate a new solution with groups allocated their forecasted peak number of workpoints.

To use Forecast to Target:

  1. Select the desired dates in the peak calendar

2. Choose the number of weeks to forecast to

For example, if you would like to view the forecasted peak demand for the next two weeks, select a '2' beside forecast.

3. Select the groups you would like to use the forecast to target for by ticking the checkbox beside each group.

4. Click the forecast to target button at the top of the people set. This will apply the forecasted peak to the selected group(s) target field.
