Scenario metrics

Use the metrics tab to evaluate your scenarios

Each time you make a change to a test scenario by evolving, painting or erasing, or changing targets in the people set, a new analysis of your scenario will be generated on the metrics tab.

View overall scores for your scenario

On the metrics tab, you can see a list of all groups with their overall connectivity score as group, which is an average of the scores for each of their links.

Click the globe icon to view a scorecard for the scenario.

On the scorecard, you'll find the following:

  • Total workpoints

  • Unallocated workpoints

  • Consolidated workpoints

  • Groups adjusted (groups that after changing their allocation have workpoints that overlap with their previous allocation)

  • Moves on floors (groups that have changed allocation to somewhere on the same floor)

  • Moves between floors

  • Moves between buildings

  • Connectivity score

  • Evolve setting

Connectivity scores

For each group, the connectivity scores are visible with an indication of their strength.

Links & Super links

  • Strong: (0 - 10m): 90 - 100%

  • Moderate: (10 - 20m): 70 - 90%

  • Weak: (20 - 60m): 70% - 10%

  • Unsuccessful: (>60 m): 0 - 10%

Anti-links

  • Strong (60m): 90 - 100%

  • Moderate (20 - 60m): 70 - 90%

  • Weak: (10m - 20m): 10 - 70%

Where there are no connections 'N/A' is shown. The overall score for the solution is shown on the scenario scorecard.

View a detailed breakdown of groups

You can select any groups for which you would like to get a detailed breakdown of connectivity. In the popup, you can expand each group to view scores for each link, super link or anti-link that the group has.

Note: You can hover over the strength indicator to see a tooltip which tells you exactly what Strong or Weak means. In the example below, you can see that Strong means that the groups are allocated less than 10 metres apart.

Compare workpoints to target

For each group, the target will be highlighted red on the metrics tab if it does not match the number of workpoints. This applies if the group has not met their target after evolving (because there were not enough workpoints available) or if you have made some manual changes and have allocated too many or too few workpoints to the group.

Stack view

The stack view provides an overview of how your groups are allocated across floors, as well as the total amount of unallocated space on each floor.

To open the stack view, click Stack view from the metrics tab in a test scenario.

Hover over the bar to see how many workpoints are allocated for that group on that floor or how many workpoints are unallocated on the floor.

You can choose between viewing the number of workpoints allocated to a group or viewing a percentage of the total workpoints on each floor.

Metrics by floor

View the below metrics for floors in your scenario by selecting FLOORS.

  • Gross internal area (GIA) measured in ft²

  • Number of groups allocated space on the floor (if a group is on multiple floors it is counted on each floor)

  • Total workpoints available

  • Number of unallocated workpoints

  • Consolidated workpoints (manual consolidation only)

  • Density (the percentage of allocated workpoints to unallocated workpoints)
