Create connections
Connections allow organisations to define strategic business affinities and collaboration requirements
The Connections tab is where you can manage all of the connections (also called affinities or adjacencies) between your organisation's groups. By creating links between groups, you are asking AIDRA to locate them in close proximity to each other on the floorplan when you next evolve. For each link that you create, there will be a score generated in the metrics tab to analyse how well the link has been met.
There are three types of links:
SUPER LINK: For business-critical adjacencies, super links are a high priority in AIDRA's solutions, especially if maximum connectivity is used
LINK: For standard affinities, links take lower priority than super links
ANTI-LINK: For groups that cannot be placed close to each other, anti-links will usually mean groups will not be placed on the same floor
To create a link:
Create or enter a test scenario
Go to the Connections tab
Select the groups (either by the checkbox or by clicking + to add them to the graph and then selecting them on the graph) you want to connect (you can select as many as needed at once) and then select the type of link

What affects connectivity?
The connectivity score of your scenario can be affected by many factors so it is important to understand how to review a score that may be lower than expected.
A group that has many connections (more than 3-5) may have lower scores simply due to physical constraints, especially if the floorplan is small or has a narrow layout.
Using allocate by zone can result in lower connectivity scores because groups cannot be split across zones. If there is not space for both connected groups to be placed in a single zone, they will be separated from their connections by physical gaps in the floorplan.
Using social distancing will lower both individual and the overall connectivity score as groups will be physically further apart.
