Create and modify labels
Specify types of space for workpoints and areas in your buildings
Labels allow you to distinguish different types of workspaces so that teams can be matched to the space they need. Labels are created from the Buildings page.
To create labels from the buildings page click the label icon as shown below. Once created, the labels will be available for all buildings within an account.

There are two types of labels: workpoint type labels and workspace category labels.

Workpoint type labels
Apply to individual workpoints
Intended to designate the type of workstation
All workpoints are set as Desk as a default
Create one additional label (such as Office or Height adjustable desk)
Only groups that have been assigned the additional label type will be allocated to it (ie. groups that have not been assigned Office will be allocated to desks only)
Workspace category labels
Apply to areas or groups of workpoints
Intended to designate types of areas (such as neighbourhoods, quiet/noisy zones, secured/enclosed areas, floors etc.)
Create up to 6 labels
To create labels, click + Add label. You can customise the names of each label type and each label.

To apply labels to your building go to Edit building details and then to the Labels tab.

Click the paint tool

2. Click and drag to select workpoints

3. Press the checkmark to confirm your selection

4. Click the plus button to add a label type

5. Select the labels to assign them

6. Click DONE. The table on the right will update with the number of labels on the floor. View the labels applied to the floor by clicking the checkbox beside the label.

You can apply both types of labels to a workpoint. For example, you could designate offices vs. workstations (workpoint type) in a neighbourhood (workspace category).
To remove labels
Click the paint tool and then drag to select the workpoints with labels you would like to remove
Click the checkmark to confirm
Click minus at the top of the table
Click DONE
Assign labels to a group
From the People page, you can assign labels to a group by clicking the labels icon as shown below. If you create a copy of the scenario or people set, the assigned labels will be copied over.

Evolve to apply labels
Once your labels are set up and you have assigned labels to the groups in a scenario via the People page, they will be applied when you evolve the scenario with any evolve setting.
Once labels have been assigned to the groups in your scenario, you can review what groups have been assigned before evolving and how well requirements have been met after evolving in the Metrics tab.

Subgroups
Groups can only have one workpoint type label (either 'desk' or 'office'). If you would like a group to have both desks and offices, you can divide the group into Subgroups and request the desired number of desks or offices for each segment of the group.
To do this, create a second group with the same name as your original group but add an = sign followed by any distinguishing word you would like to use. These subgroups will be treated as one group by AIDRA when evolve is used
Example:
Group 1: Marketing
Group 2: Marketing=office
Assign the 'desk' label to Marketing
Assign the 'office' label to Marketing=office
The groups will be placed as close to each other as possible but each will be given their assigned workpoint type.
